When I joined Orexo the focus was solely on pharmaceutical research and development at our facilities in Uppsala, Sweden. Today, we’re pioneering new technologies and treatment routes with a robust product pipeline, while we are established in the US, fighting the opioid crisis, through a fully owned commercial organization.

When people ask me about Orexo’s values and ambitions, what comes to my mind is how empathy for patients, their loved ones and communities is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand the diverse and complex challenges faced by patients and healthcare professionals. This is where we strive to make a difference. We are committed to identifying unmet needs and developing improved, highly effective pharmaceuticals to address them. Our proprietary drug delivery technologies have been at the heart of our company since its inception 30 years ago.
We also want Orexo to be an attractive employer. Throughout my decade with the company we have worked intensively to establish a culture of where people are empowered to make own decisions, a culture of agility and pragmatism and a culture build on team spirit, all to drive engagement and commitment to Orexo from current and future employees.

As a company specializing in opioid use disorder, we have a unique ability to support patients´ and healthcare professionals offering a broad portfolio of treatment solutions, such as maintenance treatment and psychosocial support and upon approval we look forward to the launch of our high-dose rescue medication OX124.
We’re also the voice of change at federal and state levels, sharing expertise and research to influence policies that champion an equitable society where everyone has access to high-quality, accessible and holistic treatments.

Looking ahead
With our innovative drug delivery platform AmorphOX® we’re broadening our product reach and expanding into new therapeutic areas. This innovative powder-based technology is also paving the way for new formulations that can improve pharmaceuticals for patients and healthcare professionals globally.
It’s exciting to see these opportunities, but we’re always mindful that true success comes from better treatments for patients, and this continues to be at the forefront of every decision we make.
